The clock struck midnight in waves around the globe, the chimes ushered in the new calendar year a few weeks ago by now. This time of year is always oddly bittersweet to me. A month before my personal “new year”, aka my birthday and also quite cold and dreary. At least, since I currently live in New England. Even before the year turned, I found myself reflecting on the lessons of the past 12 months and envisioning the possibilities that lie ahead. The canvas of 2024 stretches before me, inviting a symphony of change and self-discovery. In this spirit, I’ve contemplated the core desires I wanted to fulfill and the habits I wanted to engrain (and even made a small bucket list of experiences )that not only steer me away from what has hindered my growth but also beckon the dawn of new chapter.
Letting Go to Make Room for Growth:
Liberating Myself from the Digital Abyss
In the era of endless doom scrolling, I am breaking free from the habit of decidedly less mindful online consumption. It’s time to savor the richness of the tangible world, allowing real experiences to shape my perspective. Online is online, and while that has its perks, I am a physical being that dwells in the real world, and that should always matter more than 30 second reels or trending topics on social media.
Grades to Mastery
Shifting my focus from the letters on a paper to the mastery of my subject matter as an English major, I am embarking on a dedicated study path where knowledge is not a destination but a lifelong pursuit. Learning, after all, is a continuous voyage, not a final stop. My goal is to tangibly hone my creative writing and literary skills by the spring semester of 2025.
Escaping the Mental Prison of Doubt
No longer will I allow doubt to cloud my potential, and my confidence levels. Instead, I choose to embrace my life experience, my growth, and self-belief, understanding that my capabilities are nearly limitless and waiting to be explored.
Breaking the Chains of Isolation
The echoes of the deep depression of the past are slowly fading as I shift towards fostering real connection. Building bridges with others, I look forward to the harmonious exchange of ideas and hobbies, laughter, shared struggles and experiences. No woman is an island, not even deeply introverted me.
Listening to My Inner Voice
In the dance of life, my intuition was once center stage, dictating every decision that woven powerful synchronicity into daily life. I was slowly conditioned out of listening to my intuition, to my own detriment. Ignoring its whispers no more, I have vowed to listen closely and follow the path it lays out for me.
Unshackling from the Uncontrollable
Stress about that which I literally cannot control or even influence is a burden I choose to relinquish. Instead, I’ll focus my energy on what I can influence, crafting a more tranquil base line within the chaos of life.

The coming year is an invitation to embark on a profound journey within. I could say that I technically start the first steps on this interior landscape last year, but this year I am committed to nurturing a deeper understanding of myself, unveiling layers that make me the uniquely differentiated individual that I am.
Mastering the Art of Words & Embracing Creativity
With a pen in hand and words as my palette, I’ll hone my creative writing both in blogging and in my dedication to Project StarFall. Every sentence will be a stroke, every paragraph a masterpiece in progress. The canvas awaits, eager for the strokes of creativity. In 2024, I’ll devote more time to writing and art, letting the muse guide me in crafting stories and creating beauty.

The airwaves will resonate with my voice as I launch my branded podcast in 2024, sharing fascinations, stories and insights. Raven & Fable will be a labor of love that will grow authentically and organically, algorithms be damned.

Networking and community building will be the background frequency of this year. Together, I’d love to connect over shared dreams, aspirations, and support each other in this world on fire.
A Year of Greek
A year-long exploration of the language and its timeless wisdom awaits, enriching my understanding of culture, history, mythology and philosophy. And another point of connections, as a visit to Greece is on the life bucket list!
